Christmas morning was made all the merrier when I unwrapped this Duck Camp Canvas Upland Vest and guys, it only got better when a last-minute invitation to a tower pheasant shoot landed two days later. The timing couldn’t have been better.

I put the vest straight to work, and it performed flawlessly. It carried shells, a water bottle, and the usual field essentials with ease. By day’s end, it hauled out three fat roosters without complaint with the exception, one of the roosters still had a litte kick left in him.

The timeless canvas design feels rooted in tradition, the kind of gear that looks better the more miles it logs. The strap system made dialing in the fit simple, even for a wide-shouldered fella like me. A vest built for real days in the field and one I’ll be wearing for many seasons to come.

I bought this primarily for early season as my other vest is a bit bulkier/heavier, but found myself using it all the time now! It is lightweight, built to last, and holds everything I need. The storage is on point - just enough to carry the essentials (gloves, jacket, water bottles, ammo, etc.) and fits your limit no problem. I also love the waxed canvas and color. In western Montana, you have to put in the extra miles to get your birds, so I appreciate I can wear this all day without irritation. Quickly became my favorite vest!
